Hot Dog!

Options

I never thought I would get excited about such a "mundane" thing...but whoopee! my husband actually ate a hot dog while we were on vacation a few days ago. Since we are weaning off the PEG tube and everything has been pretty soft and pureed thus far, this was a big step forward...mentally and physically. Now I'm thinking we need to vacation more often!

    It's a HUGE step!!

The bun...because we all know how bread is...one tiny bite sucks up more spit than we can produce in a week.....and the dog, because even tho we never noticed it pre-treatment....they are spicey little devils.  It took me a year just to eat the dog part :).

    That is Major

A Hot Dog with all that bread is a major accomplishment. That would be hard to get down so.Celabrate this.
    Just WOW

I would not eat bacon for over three months, as it is what caused my bleading.

Only for the first few bites...

then it seems to fade away. And we definitely can't do spicy yet.  Hope you are hanging in there Raddude...you should be nearing the end of rads, yes?

    Beware of the dogs

My wife won't let me eat hotdogs anymore as she has seen me have issues swallowing them on a few occassions.  Congrats on the accomplishment, but beware of the dogs.
