Feeling overly drugged
after my second round I feel more drugged out than my first. I am hating this feeling. Does it get worse with each session? I feel weak in not being able to just bounce back after a day or two. Not finding anything to eat that satisfies me.

I'm sorry you're not feeling
I'm sorry you're not feeling good. Chemo really knocked me for a loop but I don't think that's true for a lot of women. I had to stop after three chemo infusions because I was so sick and did not recover. What type of chemo are they giving you? I know some of the ladies changed their chemo or their doctor reduced the dosage (my doctor did not give me any of those options). Can you talk to him?
Love,
Eldri

Jacjac2 - The fatigue is horrible. At least it was for me. And, it took me more than a few days to recover. More like a week or so. Remember, you are putting your body through a lot. Some days it was hard to put one foot in front of the other.
As far as food is concerned - Baked Potato, Black Eyed Peas, Baked Chicken and Watermelon were my go to foods when I didn't feel like eating. You may find something "to go to" that helps you too.
Sorry it is hitting you this way as well. I hope you feel better soon.
Love and Hugs,
Cindi

It is an all day event, slow drip. I was just wondering if it was because this is my second round and it is harder.

jacjac2, everyone is going to react differently to chemo. I always had a few days of "fuzzy" after each chemo. Please remember, these are powerful drugs in your system. Maybe you can increase your liquids. I never thought I would have no desire to eat, but chemo did a number on that.
Be kind to yourself.

Jacjac2, so very sorry to hear that you are suffering. How were your RBC counts? When I was suffering from anemia before my diagnosis, the main side effect was extreme fatigue. I've read in some other posts that transfusions may be something to consider with your oncologist if the fatigue is life altering. I hope you are able to bounce back quickly and you can begin enjoying your days again.

So sorry that you are having a hard time.
I am afraid it might be pretty normal, At least it has been foR me. I have always had extreme fatigue set in on days 3-5 mostly along with bone pain from Taxol. I am now on my 3rd type of chemo. Just finished my 1st round of Topotecan with infusions Monday- Friday. Yesterday I was feeling pretty energetic and was hoping that maybe the fatigue was going to skip me this time, but no such luck. Today fatigue hit big time and I have not done much except lay around. At least I am not hurting, which is a real blessing.
The good thing is that it will go away. And you are stronger than you think you are. Hugs and prayers, Lou Ann
