    Welcome Moonjell~ luv your

    Welcome Moonjell~ luv your name!

Well so far you've receive great information from others here. Keep asking questions. I did. I came here first so was so well prepared and had no anxiety, except to get the surgery over. Feel the 4plus cm bugger is out now so its all gone 2 years now!

They will probaby tell you that you should not exercise except WALKING for 30 days. So even if you feel great, no shortcuts to healing. Remember you insides need to HEAL~!

I have had a couple of abdominal surgeries. I wore a lumbar, velcro wrap to hold in those healing muscles etc. I also used dry ice blocks inside the wrap as it kept the swelling down and I didn't need as much opiates after only a few days.

Glad you're having a partial-yay! They will get you up first day, at least on side of bed, then standing. Depending on how you feel (some have nausea from the General anesthesia meds). Anesthesiologists usually gives you anti nausea meds. You may not even have nausea, but don't be surprised if you do.

    Sending you calming, healing vibes~

    Warmly, Jan

    thank you Jan

That's a great idea about the lumbar wrap. I'll have to pick one up prior to my surgery. Thanks for all the prayers and great advice.
