MD Anderson Referral
My elderly aunt was recently diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma. She lives in Houston, Texas and has thus far been in the Methodist Hospital System. She just found today that there are tumors in both lungs and that it spread to her lymph nodes. She asked her doctor for a referral at MD Anderson but he said he doesn't know any doctors there. She can simply go to the first available appointment at MD Anderson or she can request a specific oncologist. Does anyone have a recommendation for an MD Anderson oncologist that specializes in lung cancer?

It is hard to believe that her doctor cannot research MD Anderson's database to locate a lung doctor. When we asked our oncologist if we should get a second opinion at Memorial Sloan Kettering, he did the ground work( he didn't know any doctors but checked out their site and found the right doctor) and then MSK called to set up theappointmen. sounds like the local doctor isn't giving you much support.
