Tingling in legs and feet when I tilt my head down

I am a head and neck cancer patient. Had cancer of the left tonsil that had spread to a lymph node. I completed treatments last August. In September I developed tingling in my toes and fingers.  Was told this was periphial neuropathy due to my cisplatin chemo. My recent PET scan did not show anything abnormal. Recently I have developed a tingling sensation in my lower legs and feet when I tilt my head down. I have had blood tests that have been negative for Diabetes, MS or B12 deficiency.  Anyone else have these tingles on head moments?

After continuing to do research and finding some answers in other dicussions on this site, I now feel a lot better that it is likely a Lhermitte's sign, which is not abnormal following head and neck radiotherapy.  I suppose I will be patient and hope it goes away eventually. At least I feel better that I am not developing MS right after going through cancer treatments. What a kick in the head that would be!

    Yes...Lhermitte's Sign....

...and it seems that many of us get it a while after treatments are over.  The good news....it doesn't last terribly long.  I think I had it for a couple of months, and then it faded away.

My treatments were finished about 15 months ago and I developed some odd sensations like yours about 4 months ago. They have disappeared now. It's been said by others in this group that radiation is the gift that keeps on giving. It seems to be true.

    L'HERMITTES SIGN-SYMPTOM ~ Added to SuperThread..

This symptom has been noticed by a few survivors for a while now, and talked of many times over the years.. I think that DelNative (Jim) was the first to post on it..

Anyways, not sure why it was never added to the SuperThread..., But it is now..

    Thanks everyone

thank you for the answers.  It is comforting to know it is a sort of common symptom. i have had the tingles for 4 months now but I stay optimistic that they will fade over time.  Will post any changes

    Thanks again
