last year taxes with dr. bills???? help
HI, everyone. this question isn't really towards anything medical.
But seeing how tax season is quickly approaching, i was wondering how does it work when i was on Disability for 6 months out of the year, and recieving disability checks. These checks, i did have taxes taken out. But what about all the dr. Bills i paid out. I had to take a withdrawel from my 401k to pay for these bills. Also i did meet my deductible and out of pocket last year. 6,700$ so i know that is what my expense was for my bills. So how does it work?

Taxes
Do you do your own taxes using software like Turbotax? The software can help walk you through the medical deductions portion. I have just started doing this myself and you will have to break down your expenses as far as how much was for doctor/professional fees, hospital bills, prescription drugs, etc. Don't forget mileage for appointments and treatment.
If you have an agent do your taxes, it will still be helpful to break down all of that information for them.
You will get a statement from whomever your 401k is with containing tax information. Hope this helps.
