Differential Stress Resistance- Reduced chemo SE & weight gain

So I've been reading up on Differential Stress Resistance for the upcoming meds.

In a nutshell, and I can expand and linky-dink if anyone wants, it's basically fasting for 48 hours prior to chemo.  Normal cells will 'turn off' in the presence of no energy (no food) but cancer cells don't.  So you're kind of putting your healthy cells to sleep so they are not as affected by the chemo, but the cancer cells, being always 'on' will absorb the meds.

In the vast majority of subjects, mice and humans, weight lost during the process is regained.

I've found numerous studies, abstracts, and research from sites both obscure and well-known, so it's something we'll be discussing with the onc.

Any input? Interest? Info?
