Help with cancer patient giving up
My 51 year old brother was diagnosed in july 2015 with sarcoma. Multiple tumors throughout his body. Just seemed to happen out of thin air. Took two different rounds of chemo treatments, with unfavorable results. Chemo did not work at all. Had an appt. yesterday to get the results of his scans, and his dr. said his treatments would be discontinued. He is now what seems to be in a state of depression, which is understandable. I can't imagine what he is feeling right now. But how can his family help him through this? He is refusing to take his meds, or do anything that may help his situation. I am at a loss! i don't want to see him give up!
