I finished treatment 21 months ago.  I recently had bloodwork and finally my numbers have returned to normal.  I had been battling low iron and low white blood cells.  I also had an anoscopy and the colo-rectal doc said everything looks good (for someone blasted with radiation).  I am scheduled to have a CT scan in April 2016.  My last one was April 2015.

I feel like I spend my time going scan to scan, test to test.  But I am now making a conscious effort to LIVE not wait for the other shoe to drop.  If it does, I'll deal but for now I'm able to handle my little issues/my new normal.

Wishing happiness and peace to all!

And I would be lost without this forum.

I am very happy to hear that your blood work is now normal.  It can take awhile for things to bounce back.  I'm a prime example of that!  That's great news about your recent check up with the CR doctor too.  Try to put that upcoming scan out of your mind and enjoy a break from all of this stuff for awhile.  You've certainly earned it!  Stay well and happy!

Wishing happiness and peace right back to you!

I am so glad that things are getting back to normal.....its funny how sometimes we have to consciously decide to do what should be so natural "living"......but so worth it when we do!

    Be well,

    good news!

Thanks for sharing your good news.  I've just passed 3 years and I know what you mean about waiting for the other shoe.  I have found that I do that less these days.  Looking forward.  Seeing cancer and treatment further in the past, fading a little.
