mouth sores and swollen neck
I finished Chemo and Radiation Therapy about 2 months ago. About 2 weeks ago my throat has gotten swollen around and below my adams apple making it a challenge to swallow. It doesn't help breathing much either. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I am wondering if it might be Lymphadema. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Warren....
It does sound like lymphadema to me....it's in the right time frame, for sure. Give your oncologist a call....there are therapists who specialize in massage. And....they can teach you to do it yourself.

Very well could be
since you are 8 weeks out. I experienced it about the same time frame. Have your rad onc or med onc order a massage therapist that is certified in head and neck. The therapist will teach you the proper massage techniques to drain your lymph nodes.
Does your neck feel stiffer in the AM and looser in the afternoon? A sure sign of lymphedema. Sleep on a double pillow to help your nodes drain while sleeping.
Mine resolved after about a year.
