first ned after treatment

in Head and Neck Cancer #1

Hi all my name is jeff and i had stage 4 bot and lympth node cancer.I went though 39 rad and 6 cemo treatments completed june 20.Just got my results back from the pet scan and blood work,everything is clear.What a battle as i was not able to get a feeding tube put in because my colon was in the way.i realy did not need the feeding tube untill the last week of treatment and the first week after.i have neen lurking on here for the last 5 months and decided it was time to tell my story,sounds like so many others on here

    Well, a big congratulations to you my friend! Finishing the treatment AND getting a clear PET!! We are hoping to be in your shoes come February. We have 2 more radiation treatments and our follow up PET in mid February. Couldn't be happier for a fellow bot commrade! My husband will be happy to hear your news jeffw69. Carry on!

    Congratulations on your first meet up with Mr. Ned....it's a wonderful thing to be able to know you did the right thing...and you can start putting this in your rear view mirror.

    Welcome to the group, and of corse sorry you need to be hear. I never get tired of hearing that someone got told they are NED.  That is a word you never knew just awhile back, yet such a wonderful word to hear, NED.
