some symptoms of this cancer?
For the past 3 days I've noticed blood when I spit, its not constant but I notice it in the morning and random times throughout the day, including after eating. Its usually normal spit with traces of blood and in the morning it tends to be a rusty color. Again its more random times. I don't have any other symptoms, no coughing, no chest pains, no cold. May have a drip in the back only throat and I do have a little heartburn. 24 y/o male non smoker

My suggestion--call your doctor NOW.
Hello –
You have left a lot unsaid about your health condition. Are you an Esophageal Cancer patient? Since you didn’t write anything on your “About Me” page, I don’t know anything about you. Far be it from me to attempt to answer your question. But if I were you, I would be calling my doctor. A couple of references that list possible causes are listed below. It could be very serious and spitting up blood for 3 days would find me in my doctor’s office or in the Emergency room. Hope you find help soon, but this question is definitely above my paygrade.

Bloody sputum is also referred to as hemoptysis.
Causes of bloody sputum include lung infection with pneumonia, bronchitis, tuberculosis, parasites (hookworm), cystic fibrosis, nosebleed (epistaxis), pulmonary edema, pulmonary embolism, chest trauma, mitral stenosis, lung cancer, and Goodpasture syndrome….”
