Changed My Mind*
Had my yearly Diagnostic Mammogram today ....they found a lymph node that looks suspicious way under my left arm and way out at the edge of the breast tissue near the chest wall. They were not sure if perhaps it might not have always been there and they just didn't have the equipment to find it over the last 12 years as they do now.....or.... perhaps it was just missed since it is so far out at the side.
At first I scheduled a Biop for this week....but tonight I have decided to wait until I discuss this with my Oncologist. I remember how strongly they insisted that I NEVER get a shot in my left arm or even wear a watch on my left wrist because of the risk of Lymphodema....and I sure don't want to get a biop and learn it is nothing but later have Lymphodema Problems. So I'm going to see my Onc and he can compare this new 'dot' they found with the PET Scans he has (Radiologist only had my yearly mammograms to compare with and she admitted that this 'dot' may have been there all along....) So I hope I am making the right decision....and at this stage in my life I'd rather not panic and get all worked up over this again. Will post again when I know more. Glo

oncology consult
If you can get in relatively soon to see your oncologist, I think it's a good plan to compare the area with previous tests. Hope it turns out to be nothing of concern.

Hope you can run all this by your oncologist soon and make a decision. And of course, I hope it's nothing.

I think you made a wise choice. I hope it's nothing I have "things" I've always had too. A spot on my liver that was said twice this year to not be cancer and a "thing" in my lungs that is non cancer.
Keep us posted.
You are all so wonderful and I thank you from the bottom of my heart....
I have taken this week to process this....and stay calm and let my two sons know and my 'almost' daughter and a few friends..........so got lots of Positive Thoughts and Strong Prayers going ...
I didn't call today because of the Holiday but will do so tomorrow and will post a new post when I know something. I'm at Peace either way....and will take all of this one day at a time...

About Lymphodema
It seems you are so brave. I strongly advice you to be positive about it. I will pray to god. Hope that there will be positive result. But dear if they will find any lymph, don't be afraid. The medical science now-a-days is so advance that almost disease can be cured. Good Luck!
