Prayers, Karma, Good Wishes Please

Today is my six month follow up (1 ½ years out of surgery) chest x-ray and kidney scan and of course I’m getting scanxiety. You know, those little butterflies in your stomach every time you think of something scary. Well, they’re there in full force. My results should be posted in a couple of days but it scares me to death to open them. Of course I do, but still. I see my oncologist on Friday.
Please send whatever good wishes, prayers, karma, and so forth you can spare. Thank you and bless you all. You’ve always helped to keep my sanity and perspective.
Wishing everyone getting scans and follow ups the very best and a NED full report.

Sending Uncle NED Your Way
I've urged uncle NED to pay you a visit in the immediate future, and then I've offered to pay his plane ticket to visit me two weeks later! (Thanks for your earlier message encouraging him to visit me after he finishes with you.)
Out of curiosity, what has your surgery follow-up plan been? Like you, I'm a Stage 1a (though barely), Grade 3. My surgery (complete nephrectomy because of the tumor location) in February was done by a urologic oncologist, but my follow-up is being handled by my regular urologist. I'm scheduled for my first scan--a chest/abdomen/pelvis CT--in two weeks. My urologist (seconded by the oncologist) left it up to me when to have that scan as long as it was between 3 and 12 months from the surgery--so I split the difference. I know we talked about the plan after that--but I was so busy thinking about the first scan that I didn't pay much attention!

Thank you so much, everyone.DYAN172 said:Blessings
Sending prayers and hugs!!
Thank you so much, everyone. This is an incredible group and I'm so happy I found this forum. Tests are over and done and now just waiting for the results. The radiology tech who did my scan said not to worry, things look like they did last time I had it done, so I take that as a good thing but until results of chest x-ray are posted and scan discussed with my oncologist on Friday I'm not celebrating. Plus I still have the blood tests to do. But it does look like Uncle NED may be stopping by so I'm getting the meatloaf ready
Hope I won't have to freeze it.
SFBob, my follow up is every six months. Chest x-ray and kidney U.S along with blood work and kidney function test. It sounds like your protocol is even more stringent which is not a bad thing. You're in good hands. I wouldn't wait a year though so you splitting the difference and doing it at six months is wise.
