Newly Diagnosed AAIII
My 32 year old husband was just diagnosed yesterday with an AAIII. We have been told it is not operable given the location and the treatment plan will consist of some combination of radiation and chemo. We are meeting with the oncologist on Monday to discuss details. I have also started discussions with Dr. Mitchell Berger at UCSF for a 2nd opinion. This is all so new and devestating to us but I thought I would reach out in hopes of hearing some good survivor stories or any words of widsom for going through something like this from people that have a similar situation. He currently has very minimal side effects (headaches and occasional nausea) which started about 2 months ago.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
