Scientific Progress in Kidney regeneration
http://www.bbc.com/news/health-34312125
There is progress in growing kidneys from stem cells and getting them to work in test animals. Human testing is a ways off, but the results are hopeful. All of us who are firing on one cylinder will want to see this.

Wow
Holy crap! Go science! Of course, if the conservatives would get out of the way and let science do it's job. Indeed, there may never be a way to completely eliminate cancer from the human condition, but at least we will be able to scan for it early and then get around it. In the future, the possibility of losing a kidney only for a few months while a new one is grown is possible. Amazing.
