Hospice
The time has come my friends, I have been going downhill for the last month and I have decided no more treatments. They sound like they would be making me sick. We need to find out what type of help thay they can give us. I don't want to be home alone, I have had some falls lately. I will stay on as long as I can and my sister is set up to take care of my online family. I appreciate your prayers and well wishes.
Beverly Olaver. ( I haven't put this on Facebook yet)

Dearest Bev
Saddened to hear this but also encourage you to hold faith and hope. I can only say that I understand your decision and know that people come on and off of hospice. My prayers continue that all the love and support you have given to each of us is returned to you tenfold. May you rest without pain with the good Lord at your side. Miracles happen!
Love,
Candi

With respect,and understanding.........
Along with sadness reading this there is also understand, and respect of your decision. I wish there was something to say that could offer comfort, but words seem to elude me at this time. I do think Hospice would be good and prevent future falls and add comfort for you as well. Please know you "will always" be in my thoughts and prayers. I have benifited much from your posts as have so many others and wish you peace at this time.

Hospice
Dear Bev,
You have been running this race with such grace and good humor, and you have been an inspiration to me. I am praying you will have beautiful, peaceful days without the worry of appointments, treatments, and side effects. You are in the hands of the One who created you and works all things for the good of those who love him. You are in my prayers.

I'm reading all the beautiful
encouraging words from those of us who admire you so much....and with you, there's so much to admire, and aspire to! You have been here through my entire journey....I trust your judgement completely....to know what to do, and when enough is enough....I still believe in miracles, tho....and I'm praying for one. We're here, and we hold hands, and we comfort, and help if we can....you know that, you've been a huge part of it for many of us.

best of everything
Bev,
There is tremendous help available for your next walk. It sounds like your sister will be helping with everything.
I understand this choice....hate that a few have to make it though. A hospice social worker can and will walk you
through all the choices and services available. Pick and choose which ones fit what you feel best. My providers
for palliative have been a blessing. Bless you Bev, and will be keeping you in thought and prayer dear lady. Katie
p.s. a huge part of me is still waiting for a miracle

Peace
Bev,
I am fairly new to this forum and the roller coaster ride of head and neck cancer. With over 1000 posts, I know that you are not new to this fight and must have been there to offer, advice, information and encouragement to the many people on this message board daily. Thank you, for being a part of this group and for sharing. I hope the rest of your days are comfortable, peaceful and filled with meaning - close to those you love and who love you.

Dear, sweet, Bev, I'm so
Dear, sweet, Bev, I'm so sorry to hear this. You have always been such a wonderful source of information, encouragement and advice. You've helped more people than I'm sure you even know. If the time comes for me to make such a decision, I will make the same one and enjoy what life I have left. You've been fighting so hard for so long and you deserve a break. I want to thank you for all you've done for our CSN family and let you know that like the others, i iwll still be praying for a miracle. You are a very special and much loved lady and we are better because you are part of our family. I pray God will be with you and help whatever He holds ahead for you, you will be at peace know that He knows what is best for you.
God bless you dear friend.

Damn!
Bev,
I don't frequent the boards much anymore. Part of the reason is because of news such as this. You were a great help and inspriration during my battle and I can't thank you enough for your support. Peace be with you always.

Hi Beverly
Know for sure that we will all be with you in our everyday prayer; if we never meet here on the earth I will see you in heaven. You can find me at 777 Victory Lane; I have a friend named Larry & Denny who passed away a few years ago we will all be there to meet you.
God bless and watch over you and your family

blah..
I feel so bummed reading this post even knowing some of us merge onto the same path you are on. You are a great warrior and this incredibly difficult decision again shows the strength of your character. Your involvement here has provided lots of knowledge, more than nearly all cancer survivors.
We're here supporting you and hope you check in as you can. Hospice will provide great comfort and serenity for you on this part of the journey. Don

Continue in being the fighter we all know you to be
As a very wise young man named Zach Sobiech said "I want to be remembered as one who went down fighting and didn't really lose". You my friend are the epitome of this quote. This young man left us in May of 2013. Between Zach and this whole group, we made it through the tunnel.
Bev you fought the good fight and only the Lord knows when you will leave, but remember you aren't losing, you are gaining. You will have peace and comfort in the grace of God.
You have been a comfort and a grace to this entire group of people and I for one say Thank you for all you do.
I will be praying for ease and comfort for you as you take this next step.
Bless you,
Sandy
