Colonoscopy
I know this is off topic, but I'm getting my first colonoscopy tomorrow morning. I'm SO HUNGRY right now and I haven't even started with the infamous cleansing drinks. I'm getting all my CT scans at the end of the month (3 years post BC) and I figured I might as well get this done beforehand. I have a family history on both sides of colon cancer so I feel starting testing at 50 is the least I can do. I'm being such a baby about this though!!! Have a great week ladies...... Hugs, Anna

Take it easy when you get
Take it easy when you get home and rest, no matter how "okay" you feel. Seriously. And drink lots and lots of water. Can't emphasize those two things enough. Lie around and rest while drinking plenty of water. Even if you feel perfectly fine, which you probably will. You need to replenish all of the fluid you have purged from your system during the prep. Good luck.

The prep is much harder for me than the actual colonoscopy. I'm sure you'll do well. I'll be thinking about you. Hugs, Linda

Drinking the liquid was tough, but I did it and the doctor saw no major problems, so he expects a clear report. Thanks for the support.

Just had my 27th colonscopy
AS OF last month I had my 27th coloscopy-but who's countng?! I have no history of cancer (colon of other) but I have had BC (2008)-but I do have Ulcertive Colitis.
The prep is the pitts and the test is NOT bad-at all.
As soon as you get the IV put in-you will feel like a whole new person-then they usally knock you out and bingo the test is done..
Best of luck..I'll be thinking of you.
