Help finding a patient advocate/nurse navigator
Having a very hard time finding a patient advocate / nurse navigator to help my mother and me through all of this. Just diagnosed as ov stage III and surgery scheduled 1 week from now. We are not unhappy at all with any of the care, but would just like some advice and guidance as I am overwhelmed. My mom is not proactive at these things and I work full time and have kids and am just running out of time to figure all this out. ANy advice in finding one? Thank you so much

Does your local hospital have
Does your local hospital have a nurse/navigator? Our local hospital does; I've never used her, but I know her personally, and the patients love her. I realize you've probably checked there. Have you checked with the health department, a local cancer support group, all the oncologists' offices?
