Hi everyone, God bless each of you.
My Dad was just diagnosed with adeno. esophag. cancer. He was fit untili this last year... has played tennis every week for about 50 years.... We are still getting info on if it has spread. I'm researching for my folks to get practical info and support/inspiration.
Please share your stories of elderly people who have survived this cancer and anything else you think would be useful.
Thank you!

Hello and Welcome to you and
Hello and Welcome to you and your dad! I was a caregiver for my dad. He passed away in 2010 from EC which went to his liver.
My advice to you is to get his cancer staged. Depending on the staging....1 being early stage 4 being late stage. Early stage
tumor is more easily removed through surgery, or shrunk with chemo/radiation. It all depends on what his ongoloist says.
You can also get a second opinion. A positive attitude is key, as well as good communication. Learn as much as you can, and
ask questions! Hoping this has helped. Keep in touch.
