    Gingersnaps, what makes you

Gingersnaps, what makes you think there might be something with the lymph nodes in your groin? Are they swollen?

Yes in groin, but not sure if it was first mets.

At Dx, mine had already spread to the liver (left lobe removed) and the set of nodes immediately behind the R. kidney...with all removed.

It was the other spread cells that were not visible that were found on subsequent CT's.  The first attached to the Inferior Vena Cava and the Duodenum (first part of the small intestine), which was removed surgically.  And a year after that, a node was found to be enlarging that was posterior to the bifurcation of the Aorta in the pelvis.  (behind where the aorta splits to go down each leg.)  Neither of those single node episodes caused any pain or symptoms.  But the IVC one could be biopsied and proved positive for RCC.  The one by the Aorta "glowed" on the PET scan exam, because it was in a location they couldn't biopsy.  Both of those, and the original surgery were successful, and I've been NED since 2008.

Good luck and pursue great health outcomes.

    Hugs,

    Donna

     It's my son. Stage t1a.

It's my son. Stage t1a. Chromophobe. Three years all scans have been good. He found a tiny pea sized node, when to urologist. Urologist said it was the same on the other side and he was surprised he could find it. Ordered a ct scan to see if they were always there. Waiting for the insurance to ok scan.

    Unfortunately not
