Cindi's Pathology
Hi Cathy,
Thanks so much for thinking of me! I actually posted on the UPSC roll call thread. Didn't think about sending a separate one. oops...
Let me start out by saying I could not have asked for more! I consider myself very lucky. Phase 1A Grade III.
I will most likely start my chemo next week. The "standard" 6 rounds of Taxil/Carbo and then the Brachytherapy.
They checked 10 additional areas outside of the female organs. All came back clear. WHEW!
They called my penetration in the uterine wall "superficial myometrial". Only 2MM in out of 12MM.
All of the cancer found was serous. The mixed part of the normal kind was removed in the polyp during my D&C.
So, on to the next steps. I'm already looking down the road 6 months to be done with this! :-)
Thanks again,
Cindi
ps - I hope we can meet sometime down the road!

Saw this on the other thread and thought I sent you a message, but it's not showing up anywhere. So, I'll say it here as well. You gotta be happy with that pathology. So relieved for you. We will be continuing on parallel paths with my chemo beginning probably the week after next. Let's do this!

Thanks for the support. I am very happy. And grateful. I'm just guessing on the start time for my chemo. I meet with my local Oncologist again on Tuesday. So, I'll let you know my schedule after that. We can do this! And, we have so many resources on this site to help us with questions on side effects. I thought of you a lot over the last several days. Glad to see you are still up and positive. Love, Cindi

Just want you beautiful, brave women to know that I am rooting for you and for your renewed health. This is quite an experience, one I wish we did not have to face. I keep reminding myself that it is what it is. Live as though today is the most important time of your life, because IT IS whether you have cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's or any other serious condition. The more you DON'T think about cancer the more stress-free life can be. I am beginning to accept the notion that I MUST live as fully as I can NOW because life is not promised to me or anyone else tomorrow.
Ro taught me that. Darn, it breaks my heart that she has passed away, but in my mind's eye I just know that she is planting a beautiful garden in heaven splashed with vibrantly hued flowers and her health has been restored. Ro will never have to have another Cat scan ( Didn't she have at least 20 of them?) or worry about not being NED or worry about that terrible cough that tormented her for so long. She is now at gentle peace. Bless her loving, kind soul.
Warm Wishes and Hugs,
Cathy

about Ro's knowledge of how we as a group appreciated her, Did we tell her enough when she could hear us ? Did we in anyway convey to her that the event of her passing would shatter us so? did she hear it without us saying it ? ,I hope in her mind that she heard us say that. I really hope she knew it. Hope she felt that us strangers loved her too. eternal peace to all our sisters ,gone ahead.
A part of me feels Ro was a victim of treatment, Yet the other part wonder out loud , 'would we have had her this long, imparting her knowledge and kindness without treatment ? WOW!!!!!
Hear me now.
Wonderful, supporting strangers in my life , I love the very thought of you there, I appreciate you ,I thank you for the education, the laughs and the pick -her- uppers, I care, Throughout your ride I'll be hugging all the while. Nuff love, nuff nuff appreciation. showers of NED .
Thank you Cathy we love you.

Moli, I believe Ro does know! And, I believe she is up in heaven proud of what she did for us. And, that she is at peace. If you have not seen the picture that Tom sent out, please look at it. Ro is right there!
This group of ladies are WONDERFUL. Where else could a person meet strangers that become instant friends? The unconditional love and support, the ability to cry, vent, encourage, share and learn is priceless.
I am and will always be grateful.
Love to all,
Cindi

Cathy, I feel your support. Thanks very much. And you are soooo right about living every day. I do. And, I have a very long list of things that I'm grateful for that I say every morning on my porch. And, that list grows longer every day. I'm not to the point of not thinking about cancer. I think that may come post all of the treatments. But, in the meantime, I do focus on the fact that it didn't spread! And that I know I'm going to have a very successful outcome. I miss Ro too. Even though I met her very late, she and Sandy were the first ones to respond to my questions. And, gave me my first wave of confidence in going to Moffitt. Life is unpredictable and exciting and good! Love, Cindi

Moli, It is on Tom's Facebook page. He sent it to me via email and I tried to post it here but was unsuccessful.
If you send me your email address, (post it on my page here) I'll send it to you.
If anyone else knows how to post it, I can send it to you as well to do so. Cindi
