Fatigue

I am @ 7 weeks post treatment. Anyone want to comment on fatigue? I have days where all I am able to do is make a cup of tea. I know as soon as I get up that I'll be going right back to bed. Is this normal? I've got things to do! Life to live!

Everyone tells me I am trying to go to fast.

Thoughts?

    Fatigue

My nurse predicted that it would take me about 5 mos. to feel pretty normal.  She was right!  Try to roll with the punches.   It's nice if someone can fix you some food you like as you rest.  Getting nutrition was/still is hard for me; partly 'cuz I live alone (now on chemo).  Cooking for 1 is not fun!

Best wishes to you!  I hope you have NED w/your next scan!  Keep us posted.

    Hi

Seven weeks is post-tx is not very long.  At that point I was probably still napping twice a day and my only activity was a mid-day walk. It was months for me.  I didn't go back to work til 4 months after treatment and then I only worked 1/2 time for 3 months before going full-time again.

Don't hurry.  You've been through the wringer and then some.  Nurture yourself. You're starting a new chapter in your life.

    Take care

    Fatigue

I experienced a lot of fatigue post treatment.  I foolishly went back to work full steam 3 weeks after finishing treatment.  I had a very high pressure corporate job.  There were days when I couldn't keep my eyes open.  My boss at the time was one of the kindest human beings I have ever known and still a dear friend.  He pretty much demanded that I slow down and work less and even work from home until I got my strength back.  It honestly took at least 6 months before the fatigue wore off.

Try not to push yourself too hard.  Listen to your body!

Totally get it. I was the same way. I read on Reimagine’s website that short yoga sessions can increase energy and it’s helped me so far. Give it a shot!
