recovery from radiation/chemo

I have been done with radiation/chemo five weeks tomorrow.  I still am on liquids and I have a sore mouth although not as bad as it was.  I'm wondering how long people have taken before they can taste and eat.  You are missing a lot when you can't go out to a restaurant with your spouse and family.  I would think you would feel much, much happier when you begin to eat again.
