Hi, does anyone used water instead of the white fluid that is taken before the other IV fluid is given?

We are currently five PETs, most recent one is with water before IV fluid, the first ones were a white drink before IV fluid

any differences in SUV, reliability?

    Omni?

I don't know about water.  However, the stuff I take before my CT LOOKS like water and has only a very faint (slightly sweet) taste.  It's called Omni, and for all intents and purposes, it's like drinking water.  I have issues with the white stuff, so they give me this instead and it works fine.

They also use Visi for the IV contrast with me since the usual suspect gives me a wicked headache.  The tech tells me the Visipaque (sp?) is better anyway.

So I'm kind of a unique bird when it comes to my scans.
