I wanted to thank everyone for the good thoughts while in hospital.  Still here, probably will be throughout next week.  Wanted to clarify, I am not quite done fighting.  Yes it seems the beast has decided to want to rear it's ugly head again.  Well o.k., I am now going to confirm it by biopsy?   Depending on the line of defense the onc picks this may not have to be an issue.  (meaning w/acc more than not biopsy is ruled out)  I am trying to keep it light beat in here. Everyone's kind of side stepping the issue of mets.  I think it makes them terribly uncomfortable.  Cracking jokes and trying to do as much for myself as I possibly can.  A bit intimidated, a bit confused.  I have thank heavens been on top of current tx's and targeted medicines.  (none of coarse matching for my DNA/RNA breaks....but am willing to try)  I hear myself repeating Quality over Quanity....I still believe in this whole heart and soul.  Rolie is pretty scared, I don't know what to do about this one.  I need him to know it's going to be o.k., no matter what.  When I can I'll update, or will have the kids pop in for me.  hugs sent !  Katie

Our dear Katie, so saddened to hear this. Hopefully, there will be a solution that does not make the choice of quantity over quality necessary. Know that we are always here for you.  I am glad you have Rollie and family by your side. You and Rollie are close in heart and in my prayers.

I do understand the Quality over quanity, but we sure can hope for both at this time. So we'll hope for quality with quanity and just see what that will get us. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers, as well as an inspiration to so many. Just be at peace.............
