Never been so happy to be told I am fat!!!!! (lump update)
So, today was scan/biopsy day....WHEW, to tell the truth, I was nervous!!!!
The Ultrasound of my neck didn't show anything. YAY!
The Ultrasound guided biopsy of the node could not be done because the ultrasound could not pick up anything other than....wait for it....
"Normal looking fat tissue"....first from the tech, and then the (cute young) radiology doctor...neither could see it...
The doctor said he felt it was either a fat lump, or a calcification from an injury in my shoulder...
They did suggest an MRI to make me feel better...so I told them to suggest that in the report...
Thank you all SO MUCH for the thoughts and prayers!!!!
Hugs, Kathi

hi there tubby 2 shoes
ah Kathi.....I am so happy to see this news this morning. What a great thing aging and maybe a little fat can be.......
Doesn't it just show though how very close to the surface all our fears are. I have been having a lot of reflux lately and so my GP ordered a gastro scan for yesterday. Same hospital, same surgeon who walked in ten years ago after colon scan to say " you have colon cancer". Kath I could not get my fear under control.....all the memories of surgeries and chemo and fear and pain just came flooding back.......my blood pressure was a mere 194
When I woke up there was a little note from the surgeon to say NORMAL......ahhhhhh old and overweight and normal.....not so bad after all.Sending you big congrats girl.......HUBBY AND i ARE HAVING A PARTY TONIGHT.....WOULD YOU LIKE TO COME OVER

best hugs .......maggie

Wonderful
That is wonderful news. I'm so glad that it was just "fat" instead of something more serious. It's hard to wrap you head around things when you have had a previous diagnosis. So glad this turned out to be nothing. You are such an inspiration to this board and glad that everything turned out great.
Hugs! Kim
