Carbo as a single agent

Hi everyone, wanted to check and see if anyone has done carbo as a single agent for a recurrence.  If so, did it work, and what were some of the side effects?

Thanks so much.

    Single agent Carbo

    Hello!

I used single agent carbo for a while after determining that the carbo/gemzar combo was destructive to my veins.  It worked great.  Hoever, I have had two clse calls with carboplatin and my doctor finally decided to move me on to cisplatin and I have been on it for a coupe of years (off and on) now.  My weekly treatments are just becoming so easy to take.  I take very few anti-nausea drugs (as I have a sensitivity to them) and I do great. Compared to stacking, I am great.

After eleven years and going on 6 remissions, I am pleased with the fewer side-effects and long-term residuals.
