Looks like we might be back on the roller coaster!
PET scan results today not so good ... 3 spots lite up in pelvis. Very small and clustered together.
We have been chasing this since Oct. when at my yearly surgical appointment "something" was felt on DRE. All images to date have shown nothing but possible scar tissue. Today, the PET showed different. I am so grateful to my wonderful surgeon who has been persistant to find what HE knew was not right. Angels do walk among us.
Biopsy on Thursday.
I think this may be a long summer.

I am sorry to hear this but it does sound like your surgeon and you are on top of things, and you appear to have the right attitude.
Prayers and best wishes for the biopsy. Yeah, for an attentive surgeon. We will be rooting for you. This disease sure is insidious.

These recurrences are so hard...
but I'm really glad they caught it early. The "watch and wait" mode worked well for me in the long run, as eventually they were able to get on top of the growth (took five surgeries, but that's not much in the overall scheme of things). I hope this will prove to be the case for you as well!

Best of luck on Thursday! I hope it goes well and it's an easy fix. I hate the way we have to worry about this forever. I start on regular blood tests and colonoscopies in August. Can't wait...

LOL John212 ... too funny ..
LOL John212 ... too funny .. I hope chewing gum!! Doesn't seem likely .. but I will take it!
You guys are great! Thanks so much for the support.
I am pleased about the early detection, however, I am not thinking anything like an easy fix if test are positive. I am banking on the IF part of that statement as of right now. I have been forwarned it will not be anything "easy" to get ... and likely some tough decisions ahead. But, one day at a time for me! It is what it is and worrying will not change things at all .. so I will not go down that road.
More worried about the possible damper on my summer after the long cold winter!
I will let you all know when I get the results next week.

AA ... I always look at your case and remind myself it can be done. This will be 3x's for me .. 4th big surgery (one was a blockage from scaring) ... so things in there are getting rather difficult to work with.
