Neck Tumor It Is Benign - No Cancer
I just got word from my ENT doctor that the tumor he removed from the opposite side of where they think my cancer started is benign. He said it is fairly common to get such tumors due to radiation. I had, at least at first, stage VI a unknown primary. After some radiation they felt the cancer was on the left side, the same side where I had two lymph nodes infected with cancer. I had seven weeks of radiation and chemo. That was two years and three months ago, last treatment. Have been cancer free since then. The tumor, may not be exactly a tumor, but close enough, popped up. I posted about it on here about a week ago and got the usual great advice and good thoughts.
Even though the doctor was fairly positive that it was not cancer util the biopsy came back one still lives in greater of lesser degrees of fear. Going to take it easy this evening, but back to exercise and my part time retirement job tomorrow. It ain't cancer until they say its cancer and even if they find cancer, then let the battle begin because there is always hope.
Your replies to my initial post really helped me get though this and I cannot thank you enough, bless you all.

I will be more than happy to pull you down from the ceiling, I spent too much time there in the last two weeks. You and the others pulled me down and kept me going.
I didn't hug the ENT doc as his nurse called, but I did over the phone and am going to get him a gift certificate for dinnier for him and his wife. He was kind and sure he gets paid a lot, but sometimes a little kindness back from his paitents is in order.

I found out after surgery that the tumor on my neck was benign. My ENT told me all along it was cancer, and I had prepared myself for cancer. Now I am flying high! Thanks for all of your support.
