Parp inhibitor

 I was in a clinical trial with a parp inhibitor but as soon as olaparib became available i switched to it. So far so good! Anyone else start the new parp inhibitor? I'm BRCA 1 so i'm glad i have the opportunity to take the drug. Kim

    PARP inhibitor

    I am BRCA2 positive and took Olaparib on a clinical trial; it kept my disease stable for 2 years.  Good drug!

    So happy it is working for you!  Keep us updated.  I, too, am BRCA 1 positive, and this may be a future treatment for me.  Thankfully I don't need it right now (just finished chemo in Oct. for 2nd reoccurance stage IV OC.) It would cost lots of $$$$$ with my Blue Cross medicare plan Frown

    Olaparib

    I was on a clinical trial with olaparib for 11 months. Only slight dizziness at first bur this went away as my body got used to the drug and some weight gain. Otherwise, it was a WOnderful 11 months!!! And I'm brac negative!
