Pleural Effusion

in Breast Cancer #1

Has anyone here had fluid drained from around their lung? Does it come back if new medications start working? Looking for some answers. Just wondering if anyone had this happen and then was able to get control of their mets again. Mom had 700 cc taken off last week!

    Have not....

    I haven't had that done but I imagine your Mom's Oncologist or Surgeon's office could maybe give you an answer.   I have know of people who had to have this done and it did come back....I hope it won't do that for your Mother.  Prayers for you both and let us know.  Maybe somebody else will have a better answer for you.

    Hi and sorry

    if new regiment works if will not come back. Even if it work liquid could builds over time and needs to be taken out again. Our friend lived with this conditions for 3 years.
