Dental decay
I had my firstline chemo from May 14 to Apr 15
last fall I began dental repairs for quite a few cavities asa well as 2 teeth having to be rebuilt totally filled with the white stuff pois - posts root canals & crowns
did anyone else have a dental wreck after ov ca tx?
I blame part oif it on not being able to go to dentist that yr as much as anything
Just curious..Susan P from Alberta Canada & TX & WY

Susan P, the chemo probably
Susan P, the chemo probably didn't help. I remember my dentist saying that during treatment the mouth can dry out that can lead to problems. They recommended Biotene and gave me a little sample. Everytime I go to see her now (it probably helps that I have a female tech and dentist!) they make a point to ask about oral issues because of my treatment.
Good luck!

no problems
Susan, chemo didn't cause any dental problems for me, but I have excellent teeth and have had few dental problems over the years. I'm not saying this in a boastful or critical way; my parents passed down their good teeth genes. My poor husband can't say the same. Fortunately, our sons inherited my good teeth.
