Other health issues
My brother has a kidney stone now. He has blood in the urine which concerns me since he is on Xarelto for blood clots. Geesh, how much more does this poor guy have to deal with? I take him back to urologist on Monday.
I feel sad learning about Nana's passing. So many wonderful people on here and this dang disease gets them. Thank you all for being a sounding board for a worried sister.

So sorry to hear
So sorry to hear of this latest complication for your brother.
Under normal circumstances a kidney stone can be treated with meds or sonic "crushing" with the last resort of surgery.
I hope that there is an "easy" way to get rid of the stone, with as little pain as possible.
You are a great caregiver, not only for your brother but also your dad.
Hugs for good news and better days for you all.

Sorry
I'm sorry to hear this as kidney stones can be so painful. I've watched my kids try to pass them so feeling so bad for your brother. Hoping they have something to give him to break it up or he passes it quickly. Hope he feels better soon as he has been through so much.

Honestly, it just doesn't seem fair
I know your brother has issues, and I wish that he could be spared all of this crap.
He has enough on his plate as it is. But no, he has to suffer along with the rest of us. I am so glad that he has you as a sister, what a blessing you are in his life (and the life of your father).
I pray that he can pass his stone without too much bother, though I doubt he will be saved the pain. My hubby had a stone and it really was quite awful for him.
*Deep breath*
My prayers are with him, and with you.

Thanks everyone!
I have to take him for an x-ray and a visit to the urologist on Monday. I'm just hoping that the snow clears up in time. So far he's had no pain, just blood in the urine.

I had it happen off and on for a few years. My stones were uric acid gravel and they are sharp as. I had the full tests done for bladder cancer done a couple of times thanks to those sharp little crystals moving down, Hugs Ron.
