Trying to Find a Good Internist

Yesterday, for the second time in two years, a good internist that I waited for a month to see, rejected me as a patient! They do a song and dance, but I know what their issue is. Seems like docs do not want sick, compicated patients.

Anyone been through this?

My medical history goes back to birth and was more complicated in the past. My parents were in medicine and had chronic conditions, I did end of life care for my dad, and I worked in post-graduate medical education for more than ten years. I know what constitutes good care and how to find a good doctor.

I am mets and I am not doing any more treatment. Trying to get into Pall. Care for good pain management. It's been 5 years and is getting worse, quick.

Anyone else been rejected as a patient, or know why? Did a scholarly lit search on the subject. I need a primary...yesterday!
