Puts things in perspective
Last night there was a house fire in North St Louis. Two little girls were rescued by firefighters but sadly one lost her life shortly thereafter from smoke inhalation, she was 7. This morning I went to hyperbarics and they brought the other little girl by ambulance from Children's Hospital, she is only 6 years old. She was so tiny and precious. As they prepared to put her in the chamber next to me, I could not stop crying. Tonight on the news, they reported that she was in critical but stable condition. She and her sister had been sleeping on a mattress on the floor when two space heaters plugged in a single outlet caught fire in an adjacent room. Please say a prayer for this little girl as you count your own blessings tonight.
