Surgery this week

in Head and Neck Cancer #1

I will have surgery this coming Wednesday. The plan is to remove the fibula that replaced half of my lower jaw 3 years ago and hope the fistula will close (80% chance).  Hinge is original and will remain. PET scans have remained clean, next one late February or early March. Cosmetically, that area is already a mess so at this point I am just concerned with healing and getting all of my strength back. Please whisper a prayer for me.

    candi, i'm sorry you have to have more surgery in order to heal.  you've been through so much with your health and then your husband's.  I pray the surgery goes well, the fistula closes and you heal once and for all.  this process has been long enough.  I certainly hope the Lord blesses you both with better health.
