Anyone that isn't familiar with our circumstances and would like to, read my other post "8cm mass found on son's kidney".

 

NEED HELP... I am located in Missouri.  I need to find a teaching hospital known for their urology dept.

    Would about 8 hours drive be out of the question? The Cleveland clinic is so well known and tops for kidney.

    Blondy,

     

    One of the top hospitals in the Country is part of Washington University in St Louis about 45 miles from you. That is Barnes Jewish Hospital which is the flagship hospitalof BJC Health Care

    (Barnes Jewish Christian).  They have a top Radiology department as well as Urology Department and Cancer center.. My former son in law did a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the Mallincroft Radiology Institute there about 15 years ago. One of my grandaughters was born at Mo Bap (Missouri Baptist) which is part of BJC Heath Care.

    No doubt some of the doctors and specialists you are seeing were trained at Barnes Jewish.

     

    It could not hurt to inquire there regarding a second opinion.

    Thank u Iceman. I actually just found that info and was about to mssg this... 

    Think I found one. Searched first for highest ranking hospitals for urology in US, and Barnes Jewish Washington,  University came up.  Then found list of highest raking drs in their facility and wrote down all the urologists names. Now going to call them all for earliest appt available
