My son has ALL

My son Thomas James (TJ) was diagnosed with early pre b-ALL on January 7th. He started chemo right away. He is doing better well except extremely hungry and moody from the steroids. I am so very scared. I keep thinking I'm going to lose him. He is only 2 1/2 years old, still in diapers, so young this should not be happening.

    Dear RoseEve,

    I just wanted to say that you and your son are in my prayers. I am 32 now but I was diagnosed with ALL when I was 4 years old 

    I just wanted to tell you that if you ever needed to talk I'm here. I have been cured since 1997. I had experimental chemotherapy treatments but never any radiation. Your son sounds like an amazing boy and very strong. The treatments that they have now for ALL have come so far and are so much more stronger. I remember when I went through my treatments I was hungry all the time to because of the prednisone. I liked to eat chicken nuggets and noodles. It is very good that he has an appetite that is great to hear. I hope that everything goes well with his treatments.  Lots of love and prayers your way

    Hi I'm Annie, im 25 years old and had ALL at two months. I had chemo and radiation and a bone marrow harvest but no transplant luckily. And your right, this should never happen to anyone so young. I will be keeping you in my prayers and want to tell you that no matter what their is always hope for the future. And that even though at times you feel you have no control over what's happening . That one of the most powerful things your son has to help him beat this. Is having loving Mom that will stay and hold his hand through process.

    Iam scared

    Hi Rose Eve , strength to you,  your baby will be showered by god with all good health and recovery soon.

     Iam a anxious mom , extremely anxious. I did some mistakes in my life. My son had to get his CT scan done when he was just 2 month old baby due to a fall from a height.  Now after reading articles about the radiation risks.iam scared , very scared,  unable to sleep or eat anything  since many days. Did your dr say about the ct scan risks ? Pls tell me
