Recovery suggestions for Ureteroneocystostomy with possible psoas hitch
This is the first time on this board but not my first rodeo. Colon cancer stage T3N0M0 in 1995 (20 year survivor), Esophageal cancer T3N0M0 in 2011 (3 year survivor) and now Bladder cancer. Staging to be determined after surgery on Monday the 26th. I'll have a catheter and bag for about two weeks along with my third stent.
Does anyone have any "survival" tips for recovery after surgery? Any foods/liquids to avoid? How much pain/discomfort can I expect? How much will the bag drive me crazy?
Please don't sugar coat the answers...I'm not that kind of girl.
Thanks,
ptom
