Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum thing but I'm a quick learner! Has anyone been on or are on an ASLAN002 trial? I've only just started & am curious to how people are coping.

Thanks,

Gaz

Oh, I forgot to mention - I live in Australia so there will be some delays in responding due to time differences.

    Cheers,

I am currently in an unrelated clinical trial (ClinicialTrials.Gov – NCT02178722) but for what I read on the internet your trial in Australia sounds very interesting. – BDS

In one example, ASLAN002 was used to treat a metastatic ER+PR+HER2+ breast cancer that did not respond to any known treatments and caused the death of the patient from which it was derived. The treatment caused complete tumor regression in 3 out of 4 tests. The overwhelming success of the compound allowed Dr. Welm’s team to put it in a Phase I trial in Australia (see #NCT01721148 at clinicaltrials.gov) where it continues to test positively for tumor regression leading researchers to believe it will enter a Phase II trial in mid-2014.”

    Hi Gaz

I am also in Australia and have taken part in this trial but unfortunately was not successful in either reduction or stability of tumours and was removed after the 1st scan in November. I had some very odd side effects but generally very easy drug to handle. I wish you more success than I had.

i have just started Sutent at a very low initial dose given my history of unsuccessful drug treatment (Votrient, Everolimus).

    Hi Sue,

I had read your comments in another forum & have had much the same side effects - Loss of taste, wobbly legs, light headiness, etc. I was taken off the tablets until everything settled down (4-5 days), & then restarted again. I now have a slight loss of taste & some fatigue but thats all. If you don't mind me asking, what dose & cycle of Sutent do they have you on?

    Stay strong

    Sutent dose

    Hi Gaz

Sorry about the delay in responding. I just finished my 1st 2 weeks at 12.5mg and started my 1 week break and will have review this coming Friday where I hope that dosage will be increased. Side efects so far have been pretty much non existent apart from continued fatigue and today some diarrhea.
