Sending wishes for strength and great luck
Nana B, I'm so sorry for your recent troubles. The pains of cancer might be harder to control, but administrative mistakes like the one that interfered with your chances for the trial are especially infuriating to deal with now. I'm glad that they were able to reduce your discomfort by draining the ascites and finding an effective pain med. My mom's liver is starting to fail, and her oncologist prescribed spironolactone to try to flush out some of the extra water that's been giving her a lot of trouble with her feet.
I hope you have a great trip to Mexico, and I sincerely hope that going holistic works. Keep positive and be strong, there is always hope as long as you don't give up.

My feet and legs are often swollen, however last night I was in so much pain that I elevated my feet way above my ahead. I have an adjustable bed, but this can be done by putting feet up the headboard. Layed there for 3/4 hours trying to sleep, come morning, my feet and thighs were back down in size.
My thighs have hard lumps that are painful and appear to be liquid, I had read that you have many lymph nodes in the upper thighs and if you massage in circular motion and up towards the heart, it gets the blood back to your heart and the fluid to your bladder.
I Was amazed, it worked.
Thank you all.

So ticked
That they messed up on your trial and you were lied to, that sucks big time!!!
Safe travels to you on your trip, I think of you quite often especially when I'm feeling bad and snuggled up with my Nubs (chihuahua)and the Gund bear you gave me, my little Boo, it gives me a lot of comfort, thank you so much for that, you are such a caring, wonderful person.
My heart remains with you on your trip and treatment in Mexico.

Nana
Nana,
My love follows you to Mexico. I hope that you get some help and some answers.
Regarding the swollen legs. **** got lymphedema in August 2013. The thing about it is you can stop if from getting worse if you do certain therapy and massages. Onc docs should be up on this but don't appear to be. **** finally got with a physical therapist who specialist in lymphedema and we learned how to massage and then wrap his legs. Also, he got special order tights that helped.
Sendign you aloha my friend.
Aloha,
Kathleen
