The Long Haul
I see many posts from people who made a significant difference in my life when I went through my ordeal in 2010. Some of these women are now facing the beast again and this makes me so sad and sometimes fearful, but I'm well. I keep coming back here to check on all of you and to make connections and offer any support to new folks.
I guess you could say I'm here for the long haul, hoping to lend help and support, hoping to never need help again, yet continuing to remain connected.
Love you all,
Suzanne

Well, Suzanne, your help is
Well, Suzanne, your help is much appreciated. You have answered my questions several times with details better than my oncologist. So keep on helping people! I try to as well. I just got home from a 3 month check up (surgery in Sept 2012) and all is well. I will keep coming on here for years to come, I hope. I think it's important to remember to pass on the support, so let's stay connected ladies!! Thanks again and have a wonderful year full of health and joy, Anna

I don't know what I would have done without this site. It is a safe haven.
Welcome! Wish we could have met under better circumstances.

The long haul, indeed...
Like you, Suzanne, am here for the long haul. Yes, it's heartbreaking to log on to find sad & frightening updates. My heart goes out to all - the newcomers, those in the midst of invasive treatment, those facing mets. Struggling. If I've taken a bit of a break (as I did over the holidays) - often find myself holding my breath, bracing for the worst possible when I return. I just learned that Doris/SIROD passed away. So sad. The worst possible.
Thank you for your commitment to this group. I believe it's important & encouraging for us 'old timers' to be here. Inspires hope, which we all need to survive. No matter our individual circumstances.
Kind regards, Susan
P.S.: For those who don't know me well... 11+ years since DX #1 (Stage 3/B) & 3+ years since DX #2 (Stage 1). Not mets, two completely different types of BC. One on each side.
