any treatments for one thing help another? I have had two (one cacner related)
I have had ulcertive colitis for over 20yrs..it was extremly server while going through my cancer and treatments. I went on steriods it was so bad. I went on tamoxifen and shorlty after my colitis was the best it's been-and still is (NOW off tamoxien 18 mths)
IS it just by chance? no way to know
I have arthrisits in my lower knuckles-very painful and swollen. It has not gone up to my wrist-i got a cortizone shot in my wrist and it's HELPED my very very sore knuckles. EVEN my daugher noticed I DO not say owe owe owe all the time , even if just tap my hand on something...causes so much pain.

I've had really nasty sinus
I've had really nasty sinus infections all my life - 3 - 4 a yr. In the 5 plus yrs since starting Chemo, I've only had 2 very minor ones. More or less, it was explained to me that there was a 'pocket' of infection that the antibiotics would 'knock down' but never completely worked. Being systemic and over a longer time frame (4 DD A/C neoadjuvant then 12 weekly Taxol adjuvant), Chemo apparently attacked the 'pocket/reservoir' and got rid of it.
I've had arthritis in my upper back for MANY years, none anywhere else. I did 'abuse' my upper back for years having had many 'good' falls being a show jumper (not hunter - there is a huge difference even though jumps are involved with both) ride/trainer/owner and a bit of Eventing thrown in. Though I no longer compete, falls can happen (even off my bicycle), and since Chemo, it has progressed. At the Fair in Aug., I was offered a free adjustment so why not try. I have always been skeptical about Chiropractors as doing anything positive even though I had used them with some of the horses with great results. Well long story somewhat shorter, I felt better immediately. I saw him twice a week for Sept and Oct. Nov and early Dec I saw him weekly, I am now every 2 weeks. Before I started with him OTC Tylenol and Vicodan were my 'friends' - I do occasionally still take OTC Tylenol for 'aches and pains' (went on a fairly long tow truck ride with Hubby and back did not 'like' it) but it's been probably 2 months since I took any Vicodan. Don't know if this is what you're asking about but it has definitely helped me.
Merry Christmas!
