Cancer returned after Pelvic Exenteration
Hi everyone! I haven't been on the board since August when I had my surgery (PPE) for recurring Vulvar Cancer. Fortunately I was told that it didn't get into my Lymph Nodes and my margins were clear. LONG recovery but I am getting stronger everyday!
Yesterday I found 3 small lumps and when I went to my last Dr. appointment he told me that if the cancer returns, it would be external and he would just cut them off.
Has anyone gone thru this new journey? I'm up for the battle but ready to win the war!

Hi Jenny, it's so good to hear you're doing well since the PPE surgery!!! It's a hard one to get over, but eventually you do start feeling better & stronger. It's good it didn't get into your lymph nodes!! (mine didn't either) I am sorry to hear about your lumps. You have already been through enough!!
I haven't had any recurrences since my ordeal, so I can't help you with that. You sound like a very strong woman with a positive attitude & fighting spirit. You are in my thoughts & prayers. Please keep us posted on how you're doing!!

Had treatment for Vulvar Cancer now diagnosed with Vaginal Caner
Cancer sucks!!!!
I am SO tired of the stress and anxiety that goes with this disease!
My pathology report came back positive for Vaginal Cancer and I have a surgery scheduled for next week to remove the tumor. The Dr. is gonig to do it as an outpatient so I suppose that I should be encouraged about that.
I have had radiation, chemo and Pelvic Exenteration, and one would think that this take care of it but of course not! Cancer has a mind of it's own and will come back whenever and wherever it wants too!
I know that I need to remain positive and also be thankful that it was caught early but I'm ready to get off of this roller coaster ride.
I'm sorry to vent but I'm just beside myself right now. It seems that every ache and pain you experience you think it came back. Has anyone else experienced this?

Jenny, I am sorry to hear about the cancer, it does SUCK!!! Luckily this is a safe place to come and vent and among people who truly "get it". I think we all worry if every little ping or twitch is the beast rearing his ugly head. Hang on and please let us know your next steps.
