BB,
Welcome to the H&N forum, so sorry the Thyroid forum is slow, but maybe that is a good thing.
Many of us have issues with our Thyroids after rad treatments. I watched mine decline for over a year before they put me on replacement meds.
I hope you find what you are looking for.

I have thyroid cancer, and yes, that board is full of tumbleweeds!
What do you want to know? What stage are you at? Have you had surgery or RAI?

Welcome to the H&N
Welcome to the H&N and sorry you need to be here [or Thyroid group]. My brother just had thyroid surgery to remove it due to large tumor. It was benign, but because of what I went through one year before, to the day, he new he would be ok. Mine was SCC Stage of larynx and had it removed with neck dissection. I was born with half a thyroid gland and taking thyroid for 50+ years. Just an FYI, thyroid has the second highest rate to beat it is 97.7 and if HPV+ it is even higher. Anytime you hear the word Cancer it is very scary and hard to consentrate on what questions you need answered. Take someone with you to the Dr it helps. You might want to read the Superthread at the top of this form. It covers many questions. Just take one day at a time and if you're going local you might consider a second opion from a major hospital that does deal with a lot of this. When you have questions or just need to vent, we're here 24/7 and will try to help.
