Denise, I know only too well how you must be feeling. I went to FL to be with my mom while my dad was having open heart surgery/valve replacement. She was so worried about how she would take care of him when he came home. While Dad was still in ICU I took my mom to a medical appointment because her behavior seemed a little off. An MRI showed she had a brain tumor. She died 10 weeks later. Dad could be the poster child for how to recover from surgery while under enormous stress. They went from a perfectly normal life (like your friends) to whatever this is now.
Once again, my thoughts are with you.
