Have only heard from our
Have only heard from our doctors nurse today. Will try to get copy of results. These tests were only ordered by an ER doc a couple of months ago when Phred was having chest pains which were probably oesophageal spasms. Maybe its all just cos of his nephrectomy but his operation was in late Feb and the stomach pain is not going away. He also has a sore wrist and tailbone but the gp is of the opinion that the cancer is unlikely to come back now which from what I read is wrong. I suppose if anything was going on it would have showed up in the ct scan. We are due to see the urologist in January I think so we will have to wait and see what they say then. Thanks for your kind thoughts sblairc. We will keep making noises to the gp if Phred doesn't feel better soon.

Sorry to hear that Phred is still having so much pain. That can't be fun. Have you tried another doctor? And did they do a CT/MRI scan of only the abdominal area? I wonder why they haven't scanned the spine or the arm?
I hope you find relief soon. Say hello to Phred!

Hey,
I am glad to hear the tests were all clear, that news alone gives you such a boost! I know it doesn't solve the pain problems though. I just wondered if the pain was anywhere near an incision site? There have been a couple of members who had ongoing pain post surgery. Has your Doctor checked to make sure there is no sign of herniation? I have a small hernia, if I am bending, stretching etc. it becomes painful.
You are right to question your GP, you can never be sure that you will remain Cancer free irrespective of the tumour size and grade. All we can do is keep on top of the scans and try and maintain a positive outlook! I hope you get some answers about the pains when you see the Urologist in January.
Take care:)

Thankyou
Thankyou everyone for your advice and support. Will pass on your regards JoJo. It was an abdominal ct scan only plus the heart one involved 3 scans I think . One where they injected something to stress his heart. Very weird feeling according to Phred. Came back with no signs of angina which was good as he had a minor heart attack about 5 years ago. Will push for them to check out his wrist and tailbone if the pain continues. Phred says it seems over too big an area to be a hernia. Be well everyone.
