in Lung Cancer #1

My mother in law has been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer.  She now has tumors on her brain and is receiving radiation.  She completed rounds of Chemo this summer.  Her hair has just begun to grow back and she will lose again with the radiation.  She is very upset about losing what little she has.  Our family has suggested we all shave in order to offer support.  I wonder if this will help her feel not so "different".  Any thoughts?

    If this is something you are

    If this is something you are willing to do, it's an amazingly thoughtful and supportive thing to do.   If there are family members who don't want to do it, I wouldn't push.  Contact your local ACS office to find out where and when the next 'Look Good, Feel Better' class wil be in your area.  More here or in the links on this page, on the very bottom left.
