Found a peanut, found a peanut

Found a peanut, found a peanut just now. Remember that childhood song. Well I have been singing that song since Tuesday. Four plus years ago they found a place on my mothers left lung and wanted to biopsy it but she refused. Fast forward to this summer. Spot is now the size of a quarter and she is spitting up blood. She finally agrees to a bronchial scope biopsy and the surgeon thinks it is cancer. Biopsy proves not but it is rubbing a vessel causing bleeding and blocking an airway. So she goes to thoratic surgeon. Unusual case, needs to come out as part of lung has collapsed and chance of blood vessel rupture but this surgeon doesn't have the laser needed so has to go to Gainsville, three hours away. After a month finally get there Tuesday, procedure goes well and it was not cancer but a peanut with tissue growing around it to protect the lung. Apparently this is not unusual. So I am thanking God and today my mom is out living life like a young woman. Moral of this story, IT AINT CANCER UNTIL THEY SAY IT IS CANCER!

So glad it is not cancer. Hopefully mom recovers quickly from this. I saw a movie years ago about a child that frequently got sick, hospitalized many times, went on for years. It was a pistacio that had lodged in his lungs. It was supposed to be a true story.
It probably was a pistashio. The surgeon says he has found several nuts in lungs.
